
Dakota Bennett is a journalist and researcher with a focus on international security and emerging technologies, joining the Social Cyber Institute as an intern for 12 weeks. Dakota recently completed an internship with ABC News London, where she published international bylines and supported live production, after finishing up an MLitt in International Security Studies at the University of St Andrews. Her research focuses on how AI-enabled targeting systems reshape decision-making, accountability, and escalation risks in conflict. At SCI she will divide her time between working with Professor Greg Austin on research and publications and supporting Professor Katina Michael with the Technology Impact Assessment interview series and related communications. Dakota is excited to contribute to SCI’s mission while developing her research, writing, and policy communication skills..
