Margarita Sallinen
Margarita Sallinen is an Associate Fellow with the Social Cyber Institute. She is am Information and Cyber Security Specialist at Omegapoint, with expertise in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). In addition to her role in the private sector, she is involved in cybersecurity projects at the Swedish Defence University, focusing on emerging technology initiatives. She is also responsible for developing the scenario for the national policy-oriented competition Cyber Challenge. Margarita holds a BSc in Counterterrorism, Security, and Intelligence from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia, and a MSc in War Studies from the Swedish Defence University. Passionate about cybersecurity, she is committed to demystifying complex cyber threats and strengthening Sweden’s digital defence. In addition to her professional roles, Margarita serves in the Swedish Armed Forces – the Home Guard, where she actively contributes to national security from a military perspective.
