PROJECT:  VIOLENT EXTREMISM, ONLINE HATE SPEECH, DISINFORMATION, ESPIONAGE,
& MALIGN INFLUENCE

The Social Cyber Institute (SCI) is undertaking an overview assessment of the big picture policy gaps in linkages in Australia between counter-terrorism policy, controls on hate speech, the regulation of disinformation, and covert influence operations by foreign and domestic actors. This page is dedicated to selected ideas and events as we expand and shape our efforts. We are as interested in older research and analysis as in the most recent.

Notable Research

At the outset, SCI is hosting informal discussions on existing research that may be especially relevant to future public policy efforts. We have invited researchers with a strong interest to nominate selected items from their research as a contribution to this effort. We hope to resurface some key findings that may deserve further public attention. We make no judgement and no endorsement of the contents of the material identified. It will be listed alphabetically by author surname.
